Finally, the ceremony concluded with words from student representatives of each academy. On behalf of the TAC-MI graduate, Yuna Tatsumi commented “Truth be told, I didn’t know much about the doctoral course, and I didn’t try to know either, when I entered the college. However, in my third year, I caught sight of a poster for the TAC-MI program. Learning both materials science and informatics draw my attention strongly, which was the first step of my doctoral course with TAC-MI. During my time in TAC-MI, the world changed dramatically. Generative AI, such as ChatGPT, became our daily tool and the developers of AlphaFold2 won the Novel Prize last year. I face materials science and informatics have big impacts on our life. TAC-MI program lets us study both materials science and informatics and get hands-on experience like Practice School. All experiences from TAC-MI led us to get a lot of knowledge to make new innovations. Yet, TAC-MI gave me more than knowledge — it gave me invaluable connections. We alumni have big connections with professors and friends. We will open up each next stage, continue to learn, and try to create a sustainable society. When we face challenges and try to overcome them, TAC-MI’s big connection will become our grate support. Finally, I mention that TAC-MI program will evolve into TAC-MI course this April. More students will have fruitful time with TAC-MI. I give my special thanks to all of you I meet here, such as professors, industrial members, friends and staffs, and I wish for mush success of TAC-MI.”
