Support for Students

Financial support for TAC-MI doctoral students

We offer an incentive that helps TAC-MI students to be financially independent and allows them to concentrate on their studies.

  • For those who pass the screening examination for conducting doctoral study at TAC-MI:
    1,280,000 yen per year will be provided in total.
    (an RA salary paid by academic supervisors plus the TAC-MI scholarship)
  • For those who pass the qualifying examination (QE) for doctoral students pursuing research at TAC-MI:
    Up to 2,000,000 yen per year will be provided in total.
    (an RA salary paid by academic supervisors plus the TAC-MI scholarship)
    The amount will change incrementary in line with students’academic performance.

Students receiving TAC-MI Scholarship can apply Tokyo Tech Tsubame Scholarship additionally.
Tokyo Tech Tsubame Scholarship: 480,000 yen or 635,400 yen per year will be provided.

Financial support for recipients of scholarship that restricts accepting other sources of financial aid, JSPS DC1/DC2,
MEXT scholarship foreign students,
students selected for
“Tokyo Tech SPRING” or “Tokyo Tech BOOST”

Addition to these economic support, TAC-MI will pay RA salary.

We are fully committed to supporting students in applying to the “JSPS Research Fellowship for Young Scientists”,”Tokyo Tech SPRING” and “Tokyo Tech BOOST”.
